1. How much data does the
app use?
The Mediprocity app
uses very little data and bandwidth on your mobile device. It is less than most
of the apps on your phone. If you store a large volume of documents on the mobile
app, those will use your phone’s storage, however. Delete old documents in your
Mediprocity app to free up storage.
2. How can I get the
mobile app?
The
Mediprocity app is available at the App Store (for Apple devices) or Play Store (for Android devices).
Note: Apple Users may be asked for their iTunes/Apple Store ID and password to
download app. Please allow the Mediprocity app to send you push
notifications if asked, to ensure that the app works properly. To log into the
app, enter your Mediprocity credentials and select Sign In.
3. How do I enable
notifications in the Mediprocity app?
On an iPhone, go to Settings / Notification Center. Once there, scroll to Mediprocity. Select Banners
and turn on/slide so all tabs are green (Badge App Icon, Sounds, Show in
Notification Center and Show on Locked Screen).
On an Android device, go to Settings / Apps & Notifications. Click on Mediprocity and on Notifications to set your preferences.
You may also enable "Do Not Disturb" which is in your Profile under Notifications.
4. How do I use my device’s
camera with Mediprocity?
Please note: To ensure your images are HIPAA-secure, be
sure not to take a photo using the device’s camera app. Use the Mediprocity
app. Images of PHI/protected health information or photos taken/stored using
the camera on your device (instead of Mediprocity) can be considered as
violations of HIPAA compliance if they are stored on your mobile device. All
images taken using Mediprocity are secure, even if your device is lost or
stolen.
From within a message thread view, select the paperclip icon (to left of text box). Then click on the Take Photo button on the lower right-hand side of your screen. Do not use the camera on the device, use the camera tool in the Mediprocity app.
5. Why does it take so
long to send an image using Mediprocity?
To ensure readability
and image quality, all images taken using the Mediprocity secure camera feature
are high-resolution images and can take a bit longer to send depending on your
connectivity because of their size.
6. How log do I stay
logged in to the app?
The app will log out a
user who is inactive for more than 30 days. Active users stay logged in indefinitely.
7. What if my device is
lost or stolen?
Any Mediprocity user
is required to report the loss of any mobile device to their Mediprocity
administrator within their organization IMMEDIATELY.
If you don’t have a Mediprocity administrator, please log onto Mediprocity.com, and change your password/key as soon as possible or contact the Mediprocity helpdesk and we can make the change for you by remote logout.
Please note: Any user that voluntarily hands their mobile to someone else for an extended period of time should log out of Mediprocity first.
8. Teaching the app to
learn medical terminology
iPhone’s spellcheck functionality
is device-specific. You can train your phone on the correct spelling of words
by repeating each word 3 times.
9. My Android device is
not giving me Mediprocity notifications.
Please double-check all the volume settings on
your device. Recent versions of Android have separated sound, notification
sound, application sounds, and vibration under separate controls, all of which
affect the sound/feedback from the Mediprocity app. Go to Settings / Sound and adjust all volumes
up or down to the right level. Volumes will be saved automatically.
10. How can I change the
notification sound for the Mediprocity app on my Android device?
Go to Settings / Sound
/ Default notification sound. Choose a different default notification sound
from the menu of 20+ sounds.
11. The Mediprocity app
is simply not working on my Android device.
Please try logging out
of Mediprocity, clearing the cache on your device (Settings / Apps & Notifications
/ Mediprocity / Storage & Cache / Clear Cache. Then, re-log in to the app.
13. I can’t view images
on my Android device.
If you have an SD card, remove your
SD card and then go to the “Gallery” icon on your phone. If you can see the
photos the SD card is causing the problem and may need to be replaced.
Alternatively, clear the cache on your camera app (Settings / Apps & Notifications / Camera
/ Storage & Cache / Clear Cache.
14. All the information
in my Mediprocity app reads [ENCRYPTED]
You have logged in with the wrong encryption key. You are using the app under
limited access. Please log out of the app and log back in using your correct
credentials, or reach out to the Mediprocity helpdesk so we can help you get
back in.
15. My iPhone messages
are all blank or a plain white screen
You need to update
your iOS operating system to version 11.0.0 or newer.
