Desktop FAQ

1. How do I sign up for a Mediprocity account?

Enrollment is quick and easy when you sign up online.

Once we receive your account request, we will verify your information with your account administrator in your organization, or with the organization who invited you to join.

If you or your organization is brand new to Mediprocity, we offer a 14-day free trial. More information about our subscription prices is available online.

Please note that Mediprocity is offered free of charge for all prescribers (MD, DO, NP, PA).

2. How can I reset my password or encryption key?

Contact the Mediprocity helpdesk at support@mediprocity.com to reset a forgotten encryption key or to reset all of your login credentials in the event that your account is locked or if you just need assistance logging in. Please note that for compliance reasons, a Mediprocity user will be locked out of the application temporarily after 5 failed login attempts, and after 15 failed attempts, only the Mediprocity helpdesk can unlock the account.

3. How can I connect with other users?

To send a connection request:

1.      Click on Connections at the top of the Mediprocity screen. All of your connections and connection requests will be listed on this page. You can also search for a user by clicking on the Search People, Search my Organizations, Search for Colleagues (at the bottom of the screen), or the Quick Connect links.

2.      Other Mediprocity users will need to accept your connection request before you can send them a message.

To accept a connection request:

1.      Click on Connections at the top of the Mediprocity screen. Any connection requests sent to you will appear at the top of the Connections screen.  Click on the sender’s name and select to accept or deny their request.

4. How do I print an image?

From the web browser or widget click on the More Details button at the top right of your message. Then, click on Print to bring up your system’s print dialog box.

1.      To add a message participant from your browser:

Please note: Only the person who initiated the thread (the original author) can remove participants.

6. How do I delete messages?

HIPAA laws mandate that all messages with PHI/protected health information must be stored for up to 10 years. Accordingly, you cannot delete messages in Mediprocity, but you can archive them. Archived messages will move from your Active messages view to your Archived messages view.
  1. To archive a message from your browser: Hover over the message thread on the left-hand side of your screen. Click Archive.
  2. To archive from the app: Touch and hold the name of the message thread. Select Archive from the pop-up box.

7. How can I search for old messages?
In your browser, click on the three vertical dots at the top left of your screen. Select Search and complete the search fields.

From the Mediprocity app, click the magnifying glass at the top of the screen when you are viewing the message thread names.

8. How often do I have to re-log in to Mediprocity?

Your browser will log you off after 4 hours of inactivity.

The app will log an inactive user out after 30 days.

Please note: We recommend highly that you have a sleep protection on your computer to ask for a PIN or Password if you move away from your computer for a long period of time.

9. How can I send a message to a non-Mediprocity user?
You can contact non-Mediprocity users through our guest messaging functionality. Please reach out to your administrator or Mediprocity for more information on how to enable guest messaging.

10. Why did I receive an invitation to join Mediprocity?
Either a colleague of yours using Mediprocity, or your company’s Mediprocity administrator sent you an invitation. Please follow the instructions to create your account and log on.
